Cotton is the crop which needs four times weeding till harvesting. Its aback breaking process. A Woman have to bend several times to pluck the cotton from the pods and to place them into the bag hangs on her back. Its a labour intensive crop. Again the crop needs frequent spray of insecticides, the residue of the chemicals is inhaled by the farm-women , and they didn't care their chemical laden hands to touch the glass for drinking tea and water. So apart from the drudgery of hard work the chemicals infestation is dangerous to their health. What about the farm-women with their babies who suck their milk. The farm women face multiple risks for their health.
The picking work and weeding both are done by farm-women only.
Yet a woman is not considered as a FARMER! What a TRAGEDY!!!
